Quality settings for the PVR 250/350/usb2 and Provideo
Series cards can be added by modifying the properties file.

SageTV users can take advantage of our current French and German
translation files to localize the SageTV experience. The specific files are available
in the User Forums within the Germany User Group
and French User Group (coming soon). If you would like to create your own localized translation for SageTV,
please download the instructions from our website.

If you live in Canada and need an EPG data source, try the
DigiCasa plugin. If you live outside of Canada or the U.S. and have access to
another EPG data source, you can try the third-party
XMLTV plugin. Here is a fee-based XMLTV plugin for Australian users from IceTV. These plugins are not supported by SageTV
so you will have to rely on other users and the
author for support. If you're feeling ambitious, try
writing your own EPG Data Plugin.

If you own a Media MVP
from Hauppauge, it can now be used via SageTV's built-in Media Extender support.
|

|
|
SageTV may be used with encoding cards across a home network.
This
paper
describes how to setup the network encoding feature of SageTV,
which is available as of v1.3. This can be used as part
of a single or multiple tuner setup.

To control your DirecTV receiver with version 1.4 or later you no
longer need to download any additional software.
To control your Satellite receiver through a Serial Cable with
version 1.3 or earlier, please
download the appropriate DLL
file. The Tuner Plugin can be used with Girder for event control
(serial or infrared), with
DTVcon
for serial control of satellite receivers or with any generic EXE to
perform tuning. Further information is in the readme.txt
file contained in the ZIP file.

SageTV and SageTVRecorder may work with other TV tuner/Capture cards but
has only been tested with the compatible ones listed
under
System Requirements.
To test the compatibility of another card, download the trial version of
SageRecorder. We are also currently testing other
MPEG-2 Encoding cards and will keep you posted on our progress.
